This July, Repair the World is teaming up with an awesome organization called Ask Big Questions (an initiative of Hillel) to ask the big, burning question: Who is in your community? Today’s answer comes from another awesome organization, GOOD.

Since January, GOOD has been up to something great. They launched a list chronicling 50 building blocks of citizenship. Each week, they add a new item or idea to the list – all things you can do to be a better citizen, family member and – yep!- community member. Here are some of our favorites, and you can check out the full (in-progress) list at their website:

Citizen Building Block: Commit 1 Percent of Your Time to Service – we couldn’t agree more!

Citizen Building Block: Give Blood – save a life!

Citizen Building Block: Learn About Your Town’s Sister Cities – lots of towns have sister cities. Expand your community by learning about yours!

Citizen Building Block: Learn to cook a dish with a story. – Make something tasty and learn about it’s history and the people who make it along the way.

Citizen Building Block: Take a Staycation – Build your familiarity with your community by spending some leisure time in it!

What are your building blocks of good citizenship? Let us know in the comments below or by tweeting @repairtheworld.
